Spring Update

Sometimes we think God is gonna show up in the big and flashy places, so we “wait” to do what He’s called us to because we say stuff like, “once I get married, my ministry will really start” or “once God gives me the ministry dream job, it’ll be so much better” and in doing so, we miss the fact that he is in THIS place! Here and now! 

Here are my “here and now” moments from the past couple months. God is in THIS place!

Pictured above is (most of) our mobilization team for World Race! (not pictured: our incredible route coordinator, Lindsey Pruitt) We have all been hard at work mobilizing teams to the field! We have 64 racers and leaders coming in June.  Recently one of our advisors had a call with a racer and here’s what she said: “On the call when she told me that, we prayed for community for her and we have been praying for that every call since then. It had been a little while since our last call and yesterday when we called she was telling me about the youth group she’s been going to and how well they are loving her and supporting her in this season, which she has really been needing! When we were discussing it I responded with a normal “wow that’s great, I’m so glad”, but as I was praying for her at the end of the call, the Lord reminded me how we had been praying together every couple weeks for community for her. Once I was finished praying I pointed that out to her and she was so encouraged looking back and remembering where she was and how we were asking the Lord for that and seeing now the community that He has blessed her with and how He answered her prayer!!
She is watching the Lord show up for her personally in even the small things that maybe feel like they wouldn’t matter to Him but THEY DO and she’s learning that He really does provide and care for her!!”

I am thrilled to be able to have them on our campus for the first week of June for Training Camp. Please pray for this upcoming camp June 1-8th. Pray for softened hearts and for God’s presence to transform lives.

Also pictured above is baptism happening at a recent training camp! I have seen The Lord move during our camps. Even in our parents that drop off our racers. I just got this email from a co-worker a few days ago:

“I had a call with the Parent Ministry and the Development Team to talk about the World Race and how we value discipleship and developing racers…..We spent a few minutes talking about how much worship affects racer’s and parent’s journeys and how consistently we hear back from both on calls about how impactful worshipping with the World Race was, especially in the last few years.”

Isn’t this awesome! Last camp, we even saw a parent respond to the gospel and receive Jesus! God is HERE AND NOW at our camps.

Lastly pictured above is the day to day office life! This is also a reality of working in ministry; the planning, strategizing, and developing systems for how we can best serve and host all the missionaries we will send out! In this particular meeting, we were discussing developing partners (that’s all of you guys) and how valuable it is to have so many people sewing into our ministry. The amount of people supporting AIM through prayer, giving, and service is countless! Thank you so much for your partnership with me! I am trusting God to provide everything I need to continue in this ministry. He owns EVERYTHING and loves to provide for his kids. He is HERE and NOW.
